There was a brief moment a couple weeks ago when we were experiencing temperatures of 10 to 15 degrees cooler than normal that I thought we might have a normal September for a change.
Nope.
The Twin Cities reached 90-degrees 12:39 PM Tuesday and will likely go up a bit more to reach the maximum for both today and this mid September heatwave.
It's our 12th 90-degree day this season, though it's been more than a month since we’ve been this warm, with Aug. 8 the last 90-degree reading in the Twin Cities.
Other locations that reached at least 90 include New Ulm, Windom, St. Peter, Worthington, to name a few others. Many of those spots hit 90-degrees on Saturday or Sunday or both as well.
