A Scottish woman who dropped over 14 stone has revealed the just by making small and achievable changes she was able to dramatically transform her life. Karen Heffernan, who lives just outside Glasgow, chose to take control after what she described as 'a bit of a health scare' and a difficult conversation with a surgeon.

Instead of counting calories, Karen relied upon an app on her phone to lead her through a series of minor, incremental changes. In around 18 months, she was able to shed a remarkable 14 and a half stone (94kg), ending up at less than half her starting weight of 26 and a half stone.
