CHARLOTTE — Panthers' rookie receiver Tetairoa McMillan continues to garner accolades, after two strong weeks to open his NFL career.
The No. 8 overall pick has been nominated for the league's rookie of the week honors, the NFL announced on Tuesday.
McMillan earned the nomination following a six-reception, 100-yard day against the Arizona Cardinals. The performance, coupled with his five receptions for 68 yards in Week 1, give McMillan the best two-game start for any rookie receiver in Panthers history.
It was the 100-yard day in the desert in particular though, a return to where he played college ball and in front of his whole family, that is turning heads around the league.
"That's all a credit to my teammates, my quarterback, and obviously, you know, the coaches, the play calling,
