YOUNGSTOWN The City of Youngstown has reached a temporary agreement with Wabash Power Equipment Co. to continue allowing SOBE Thermal Energy Systems to continue to provide heating and cooling to downtown buildings.

A spokesperson for the City of Youngstown tells 21 News the city has reached an agreement with Wabash to keep a Containerized Mobile Steam Plant on site at SOBE until September 30.

The spokesperson says the city is working with potential partners in hopes of coming to a long-term solution as quickly as possible.

This agreement comes after a court order was filed granting Wabash the right to immediate possession of the mobile plant, which is used to provide heating and cooling to about 27 buildings in downtown Youngstown.
