A Youngstown man who pled guilty to charges of compelling prostitution in August has learned his fate.
Thirty-six-year-old Larry Burgess was handed an indefinite sentence of five to six years in prison on several charges including six counts of compelling prostitution, along with one count each of corrupting another with drugs and trafficking in cocaine, with credit for 323 days already served.
Prosecutors believe Burgess forced at least seven women into prostitution.
Once released, Burgess will spend five years on probation and must register as a tier 2 sex offender.
Burgess originally faced even more charges including rape, having weapons under disability, receiving stolen property and numerous other drug trafficking charges, but those were all dropped following a plea deal.
