The suspect in a Blanchard double homicide might have had a violent history, court documents revealed Monday.
In February 2024, a judge issued a warrant for David Zimmerman’s arrest on crimes related to assault with a dangerous weapon and endangering others while eluding police.
Fast forward one year: David’s parents are killed, and the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said it is investigating David as the suspect.
Court documents stated that a neighbor contacted the McClain County Sheriff’s Office to do a welfare check after he said David confessed over the phone to shooting both of his parents in the head on September 9.
After a lengthy standoff, David was also found dead, although it remains unclear if he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound or from being shot by police.
