DOWNTOWN — Another federal immigration operation has launched in Chicago, the Customs and Border Protection chief announced Tuesday.
Gregory Bovino, the border chief who recently led the government’s controversial immigration enforcement efforts in Los Angeles, announced the start of Operation At Large in a Tuesday morning social media post.
“Well, Chicago, we’ve arrived!” Bovino wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “Operation At Large is here to continue the mission we started in Los Angeles — to make the city safer by targeting and arresting criminal illegal aliens.”
