MONROE COUNTY, Tenn. — The Monroe County Sheriff's Office has terminated a volunteer deputy after he was arrested for a DUI in Blount County, according to a post from Sheriff Tommy Jones.

Jones said Jared Fowler was terminated from his role as an auxiliary, or volunteer, officer on Sept. 16 after the arrest early Tuesday morning.

"He began serving with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office as an auxiliary deputy in August 2024," Jones said.
