COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - A Columbia man has been sentenced to ten years in federal prison on drug charges.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office said 43-year-old William Marshall was sentenced for possession with the intent to distribute fentanyl, crack cocaine, cocaine, and methamphetamine.

Prosecutors said evidence showed that during a traffic stop in Richland County involving Marshall, a deputy with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department discovered a digital scale and a heavy white residue resembling crack cocaine.

After a positive field test for cocaine, both he and the driver denied possessing the drugs.
