No one from the public attended the public portion of Cornwall’s planning advisory and hearing committee (PAC) meeting on Monday when changes to the city’s zoning bylaw were discussed.
Associate planner Brittany Mulhern and planner Nolan Atterbury from Fotenn Planning & Design presented the recommended changes , as per a staff-initiated zoning bylaw housekeeping amendment .

The zoning bylaw regulates land usage throughout the city and amendments strive to ensure conformity with changes at the provincial level. Mulhern explained themes in this particular amendment include supporting new housing construction, promoting clarity and consistency, and promoting commercial, institutional, and non-residential development.
