A judge denied bond for a man charged with murder in a Morgan County police chase that killed a 17-year-old.
Archie Brandon Hale appeared in court for an Aniah's Law hearing on Tuesday. A judge ruled Hale will remain in custody without bond.
Authorities say Hale led police on a chase on Sept. 6 after officers tried to stop him for suspicion of driving under the influence. Investigators say the chase ended in Hartselle when Hale struck a mini-van at the intersection of Highway 31 and Highway 36. Tristan Hollis was in the van at the time of the wreck and was killed.
An investigation into the case is ongoing. More charges are expected to be filed.
