TEXARKANA, Texas - A therapeutic horse-riding facility is in need of volunteers.

The Runnin’ WJ Ranch in Texarkana began serving the community nearly 25 years ago. The non-profit treats kids and adults with disabilities.

With an increase in students this year, organizers hope to get more people who will commit to volunteering.

The Runnin’ WJ Ranch is known for a variety of programs, but it's most important one is its therapeutic riding program. With more than 50 students visiting the ranch each week, volunteers are vital to their mission.

“We need as many as we can get, not only just for weekly classes, but for those who can go in and sub in case somebody can't be here,” said Narda Launius, Runnin’ WJ Ranch volunteer coordinator.
