Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams recorded the fourth 100-yard game of his career on Sunday, and he needed only two receptions to get there in a 52-21 victory over the Chicago Bears.
The former Alabama All-American recorded the 127th game in which an NFL player reached 100 receiving yards with no more than two receptions.
The first NFL player to do that also was a former Crimson Tide star. On Oct. 22, 1939, Green Bay Packers end Don Hutson scored on receptions of 60 and 51 yards in a 26-7 victory over Detroit.
On Sunday, Williams had both his receptions in the third quarter.
On the Lions’ first offensive snap of the second half, Williams caught a deep pass from quarterback Jared Goff and motored to the Chicago 12-yard line for a 64-yard gain.
