PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) is warning residents of a scam circulating within the community.
The sheriff’s office said some residents have reported receiving a call from a person who is impersonating law enforcement.
Deputies said the caller would tell the resident they have an outstanding warrant, threatening them with jail time if they do not pay.
PCSO says they would never ask for payment for a warrant or ask you to pay over the phone.
The community is urged to refrain from giving personal or financial information over the phone unless you are sure that the call is from a reputable source.
