Oklahoma schools directed to hold moment of silence for Charlie Kirk

(CNN) – Some Oklahoma schools say they’ve defied the state superintendent’s directive to observe a moment of silence Tuesday to honor slain activist Charlie Kirk.

Superintendent Ryan Walters said on X Monday he was directing Oklahoma schools to observe “a minute of silence” at noon Central time Tuesday.
