LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The job market for college graduates is at a five-year low, according to a recent article in Forbes magazine .
The Forbes report cites the Cengage Group’s 20-25 Graduate Employability Report. It finds that only 30% of 20-25 college grads and 41% of 20-24 grads found entry-level jobs in their fields. The reason is a tight job market impacted by AI and broader economic pressures.
Eastern Kentucky University President Dr. David McFaddin says the study doesn’t reflect the success of Colonel graduates in the job market. He states they are prepared for their futures.
