Horseshoe crab populations continue to decline and that's raising alarm from researchers.
The species is continuing on the decline, according to new research from the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk.

They are offering a warning after new studies indicate the population is declining at a rate of about 2% to 9% a year. It's fast for the critter that has walked the Earth for 450 million years.
“They are very friendly, they are very docile, and you will see them a lot walking on the beach,” said Rebha Raviraj, the project manager with the conservation department of the aquarium that worked on this project.
