VESTAL, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) - The Binghamton University men's basketball team is heading into its next season with a mostly new roster.

9 of the 13 roster spots this season will be held by newcomers. Head Coach Levell Sanders was a special guest of the Binghamton Noon Rotary Club on September 16th.

Sanders discussed some of the upheaval facing collegiate sports these days, with student athletes at larger schools getting paid for Name, Image, Likeness or NIL sponsorship deals.

And a transfer portal that leads to constant turnover.

Sanders, who played and coached European professional basketball for 21 years, says he's had to adapt to the changes.
