27-year-old Ohio Man arrested for posing as a student in Norwich

NORWICH, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) - Norwich Police say an Ohio man posed as a younger person in order to engage with youth at the Norwich YMCA.

Police charged 27 year-old Caleb Alexander with criminal impersonation.

Investigators say he tried to access the Y first, before then going to Norwich High School where he attempted to enroll using a false name, address and date of birth.

Police say Alexander was determined to also have a warrant out against him in Ohio for charges related to robbery and impersonating a police officer.
