OPELOUSAS, La. (KLFY) -- Grolee Elementary students are receiving first aid kits thanks to a partnership between St. Landry Parish Councilman Jody White and Acadian Ambulance, aimed at enhancing safety in schools.

The initiative, which involves distributing first aid kits to students, is a collaborative effort to ensure that schools are better equipped to handle minor injuries and health issues. The program is part of a broader plan to provide these kits across the parish each semester.

"These kits will help keep them safe and allow the teachers and staff to take care of them and get them back to their day," said Adam Olivier of Acadian Ambulance.
