A man has been charged with animal cruelty after several dead dogs were found on a property in Anderson County, South Carolina, last week .

The Anderson County Sheriff's Office began investigating in early September when an anonymous caller told deputies that dogs were being mistreated at a home along Camelot Road in Belton. Latest Forecast

Animal control searched the property and found at least three dead dogs outside the home. Several others were found decomposing in a small shed behind the house, according to deputies.

On Tuesday, investigators announced that 26-year-old Christopher Thor Thrasher has been charged with three counts of felony ill treatment of animals.
