SILVER SPRINGS, Nev. (KOLO) - A Silver Springs man has been arrested in Silver Springs after police say he was involved in the kidnapping of a girl.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says they received a report of a missing person at around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Police eventually identified 31-year-old Gordon Alexander Bayne of Silver Springs as a person of interest, saying he had taken the girl to Reno with knowledge of her intention to travel outside Nevada.

The girl was safely recovered at a Greyhound bus station in Sacramento at around 9:00 a.m. Tuesday and was released to her parents.

Deputies with the LCSO made contact with Bayne at a traffic stop in Silver Springs at around noon Tuesday.
