ROSWELL, N.M. —

A police investigation is ongoing after a shooting left two people hurt at a home.

A man and woman were hurt by gunfire at a home on South Michigan Avenue, according to the Roswell Police Department. A police vehicle arrived and found a vehicle leaving the area at a high rate of speed on Monday night, Sept. 15.

This led to a traffic stop and the driver telling police two passengers inside were hurt by gunfire. Emergency personnel responded and transported them to a hospital.

The woman was in stable condition on Tuesday morning, Sept. 16. The injured man, identified as 22-year-old Angelo Duran, was detained by police during the investigation.
