EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - A nationwide group of volunteers is making sure the lives of U.S. veterans are not forgotten, including here in the Tri-State.
“They were left sitting on a shelf, they were forgotten. And now they’re not forgotten,” Fred Behnke, Missing in America Project Veteran Recovery Program volunteer for Indiana and Kentucky said. “We go out and we try to find that and Ziemer, the family here, is very excited to see part of their cremains being honored, given the honor that is due them. These soldiers, these veterans, are not forgotten.”
