NEW YORK (PIX11) — A Staten Island business has recalled cookies sold across New York for allergy risk due to undeclared ingredients on the packaging.

Jafra Import Export Inc., in Staten Island, announced Tuesday it is recalling Barazeq Cookies sold in 17.6-ounce metal containers. Jafra said these cookies were distributed throughout New York.

According to the recall notice, the cookies "may contain undeclared milk and wheat," which could be detrimental to people with allergies to either.

"People who have allergies to wheat or milk may run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products," the notice said.

As of Tuesday, no illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported.
