The Department for Work and Pensions ( DWP ) has issued a major Winter Fuel Payment update for everyone who needs to apply for the financial help manually. Anyone who needs to apply for the payments should fill in a form by the DWP.

Certain people born before September 22, 1959 will receive up to £300 by the Government to help keep their homes warm.

To get a Winter Fuel Payment, you must be born on or before September 21, 1959. The Winter Fuel Payment you get is based on your circumstances in the qualifying week of September 15 to September 21, 2025 inclusive.

The Government department has released a form today for anyone who wants to claim the payment but needs to apply for it manually.
