The Coquitlam RCMP reports a bear was killed after a crash on Coast Meridian Road in Port Coquitlam.

According to police, the vehicle incident, involving a semi truck, occurred around 2:30 p.m. near Lincoln Drive on the northbound lanes.

“Frontline officers responded and found that the bear was deceased as a result of the collision,” said the Coquitlam RCMP in an email.

The Port Coquitlam Bylaw Services arrived at the scene to remove the bear from the roadway.
