The Richmond RCMP confirmed that the “unfolding incident” on Monday was about explosive devices near River Road and Brighouse Way.

Mounties say two men were arrested after the possible explosives were discovered in an apartment.

Police are not, however, being clear about what exactly may have been found at this point, only that the Explosive Disposal Unit was called in.

1130 NewsRadio has reached out to police to get more clarification.

Officers responded to calls shortly after 12:15 p.m.

When they arrived, they forced everyone in the building to evacuate until the devices were secured.

Police will remain on the scene to continue the investigation.
