Two Honduran citizens were extradited from Honduras and flown by private jet to face charges Tuesday in federal court in Portland for allegedly distributing fentanyl on the city’s streets.
Teodoro Rodas Dubon, 32, and Erick Yojan Lopez Miralda, 38, arrived Monday night in Portland accompanied by U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agents.
Federal prosecutor Steven T. Mygrant said they’re the second and third individuals extradited from Honduras in recent years to face drug trafficking charges in Oregon.
Federal investigators “went to great lengths” to find both men and bring them back to the U.S. to face charges, Assistant U.S. Attorney Paul Maloney wrote in court documents.
