Horror streamer Shudder has picked up two Indonesian genre titles from EST N8 , securing “ Pabrik Gula ” (Sugar Mill) and “Perewangan” for North American, U.K., Ireland, Australia and New Zealand distribution.

The acquisition brings director Awi Suryadi back to international audiences following his previous hit “KKN di Desa Penari,” which holds the record as Indonesia’s top-grossing horror film.

Drawing from Indonesian folklore, “Pabrik Gula” has emerged as 2025’s biggest local horror success, attracting over 4.7 million local moviegoers.
