VANCOUVER Wash. (KPTV) - A coach with Clark County Youth Football (CCYF) has been let go after the league said it discovered he was a registered sex offender. Now, parents and other coaches are demanding answers from the league.

“It’s just disappointing, it’s really disappointing,” said Patrick Villafranca, who just resigned from his coaching position with CCYF on Monday.

Villafranca, whose own child played in the league, coached with CCYF for six seasons. He resigned after the league announced that another coach, 48-year-old Joshua Warbis, had been discovered to be a registered sex offender.

“I can’t trust this league with my own child’s safety, so I will be resigning and I will also be pulling my own child from the football league,” Villafranca said.
