MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The City of Madison is seeking applicants for its INSPIRE Job Shadowing Program for students with disabilities.
In honor of National Disability Employment Awareness Month in October, the city will host students with disabilities who are in high school or higher education to shadow and learn about different jobs in public service.
“It’s a mixture of getting to meet current disabled employees, and then spending the rest of the day out at various host agencies, shadowing in their fields of interest,” explained Leah Reinardy, Occupational Accommodation Specialist with the City of Madison’s Human Resources Department.
Reinardy says they are able to provide a range of options for the students through the variety of departments within the city.
