Results of an economic impact study related to historic preservation and tourism will be shared with the public next month in a free lecture, officials announced Tuesday.

The report, “Preservation is About the Future: The Economic Impact of Historic Preservation and Heritage Tourism in Fort Wayne,” will be presented by Donovan Rypkema of PlaceEconomics at 1:45 p.m. Oct. 1 at the Embassy Theatre, 125 W. Jefferson Blvd. Doors will open at 1:30 p.m.

PlaceEconomics is an internationally recognized firm that provides analysis of the economic impacts of historic preservation. The event is part of the Indiana State Historic Preservation conference, “Preserving Historic Places,” scheduled for Sept. 30 to Oct. 3 in Fort Wayne.
