Syracuse, N.Y. — A teenage boy was pistol-whipped in the head during a carjacking Monday night on Syracuse’s North Side, police said.
Around 10:23 p.m., officers responded to the 800 block of North Townsend Street, where the victim told them he had been sitting in his Buick Regal when three men attacked him, according to Kieran Coffey, a spokesperson for Syracuse Police.
The teen told police he was hit in the head with a gun before being dragged out of his car.
The teen was taken to Upstate University Hospital with non-life-threatening head injuries, Coffey said.
About 13 minutes later, Onondaga County sheriff’s deputies spotted the stolen car near South Geddes and Delaware streets. Deputies pulled it over with the help of Syracuse Police.
