Luigi Mangione is back in court and this is the first time that he has been photographed in seven months.
The 27-year-old, who is accused of murdering UnitedHealthCare CEO Brian Thompson , appeared in Manhattan Supreme Court on Tuesday (September 16) in New York City.
During the appearance, two charges against Luigi were dropped .
Luigi is no longer being charged with acts of terrorism. The reason is because he said the evidence presented to the grand jury wasn’t strong enough to support a terrorism charge.
“While the defendant was clearly expressing an animus toward UHC, and the health care industry generally, it does not follow that his goal was to ‘intimidate and coerce a civilian population,’ and indeed, there was no evidence presented of such a goal,” the judge said in hi
