WETHERSFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) — Wethersfield voted to appropriate $239 million toward elementary school improvements on Tuesday evening.

According to the town registrar, 3,474 people voted to approve the referendum, while 2,786 voted not to.

The money will go toward the construction of a new Highcrest Elementary School and renovations and improvements to Samuel Webb Elementary School and Charles Wright Elementary School.
