US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have touched down in the United Kingdom for a historic second state visit.

Mr Trump visited the United Kingdom as US President in June 2019, where he met with Queen Elizabeth II and with then-Prime Minister Theresa May.

Since his last visit just six years ago, the UK has had five prime ministers. After Ms May was ousted by her Tory colleagues, Boris Johnson, Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak have led the Conservative Party.

Then in 2024, the UK voted in Labour, led by Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

Following the Queen’s passing in 2022, King Charles became monarch, with Mr Trump set to meet the new top royal on Wednesday UK time.
