Allan Winans turned in another quality start and the RailRiders bullpen escaped two late bases-loaded jams as Scranton/Wilkes-Barre moved closer to a second-half title with a 3-1 win at Buffalo on Tuesday.

The RailRiders maintained a three-game lead atop the International League second-half standings with five games left to play, looking to hold off Syracuse in the final week of the regular season. The Mets also won on Tuesday night, edging Lehigh Valley 4-3.
