The Cardiac Catamounts strike again.

Vermont soccer scored the go-ahead goal in the 84th minute as the defending national champions dispatched Hofstra 2-1 in a rematch of last year's NCAA Tournament second-round game in front of 2,801 at Virtue Field on Tuesday, Sept. 16.

The victory also marks the 100th win for ninth-year Vermont head coach Rob Dow , who owns a 100-40-19 record with the Catamounts.

Niels Hartman headed in the game-winner on Nicolas Loebus's cross to lift the ninth-ranked Catamounts (5-0-3).

In its run to the NCAA title a year ago, Vermont scored 17 goals in the 83rd minute or later. Tuesday's tally was the Catamounts' fourth goal in the 83rd minute or later.
