HART COUNTY, Ga. —

A man is facing charges after leading deputies in Hart County, Georgia, on a high-speed pursuit exceeding speeds of 160 mph.

Around 3:50 p.m. on Sept. 9, a deputy with the Hart County Sheriff's Office attempted to stop a 2005 Honda CBR motorcycle on Lavonia Highway in the North Hart school zone. Latest Forecast

According to deputies, the driver refused to stop and fled north on Lavonia Highway, continuing straight onto Providence Church Road toward Interstate 85 prompting deputies to request help from the Georgia State Patrol.

A trooper intercepted the motorcycle on Providence Church Road at speeds exceeding 160 mph and took over the pursuit.

Deputies said the motorcycle crossed over Interstate 85 onto Whitworth
