SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Aida Torres, owner of Aida's Food Truck, hosted a free food drive at Wesley United Methodist Church on Tuesday to help feed the community.

The event was organized to ensure that no one in the community goes hungry, as Torres feels a strong obligation to give back after receiving a second chance at life.

"I have to give back. God gave me a second chance. I know these people need food like my community. They're my people and they need food," said Aida Torres, owner of Aida's Food Truck.

Recently, the organization's refrigerated truck, which is used to carry and deliver all donations, broke down. They are currently using a U-Haul to manage deliveries.
