Aldi wants to open another two stores in Kent and create 135 jobs as part of a two-year £23 million investment in the county.
The supermarket chain, which is already launching new branches in Ashford next year, has confirmed it is looking for potential sites in Tunbridge Wells and Gravesend.
Each store would also have an allocation for 100 parking spaces and be located near a main road with “good visibility and access”, the German discounter says.
Gravesend and Tunbridge Wells have been identified as potential areas for new supermarkets following a public consultation to suggest areas most in need of a new Aldi.
The two towns have been marked as “priority areas” in Kent despite already having branches.
