Protecting taxpayer dollars and investing financial resources wisely in projects and initiatives are hallmarks of my administration and why governing well is so important for Fort Wayne’s short-term and long-term aspirations.

We’ve had a lot of successes since I took office in April 2024, and we’ve had a handful of challenges. One such hurdle we’re faced with now is the implementation of state Senate Bill 1.

The new law seeks to reduce property taxes and changes the structure of the local income tax. Major portions of the law will have financial ramifications for Fort Wayne well into the future.
