The Lethbridge Hurricanes names Logan Wormald as their 33rd captain in franchise history on Tuesday morning.

The fifth year forward takes over the captaincy reigns from defenceman Noah Chadwick, who wore the ‘C’ last season , and has departed for the professional hockey ranks in the Toronto Maple Leafs system.

“Super honoured,” said Wormald to the media on Tuesday.

Wormald spoke about what leadership qualities he will bring in the captain’s role.

“I feel like my on-ice play is probably my biggest leadership quality,” said Wormald.

“Obviously, on the bench I like to talk to guys too.”

Wormald learned captaincy qualities from previous captains Chadwick, Joe Arntsen and Jett Jones.
