The sustainability claims for proposed artificial turf at Ogren Park haven’t been substantiated. An Aug. 21 Missoulian article stated: “Artificial turf experts said ... that new products could be created without PFAS, or harmful synthetic chemicals, be completely recyclable and have a drainage system that would keep runoff away from the river.”

We have looked into those claims and haven’t found science to back them up, nor documentation from Big Sky Professional Baseball supporting their assertions. Here’s what we have learned:
