TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - Almost a week after conservative activist Charlie Kirk’s assassination, the student chapter of Turning Point USA at the University of Arizona hosted a celebration of life at the Bear Down gymnasium in his memory.

Organizers told 13 News that around 750 people, a mix of students and others who shared Kirk’s beliefs, gathered for the event to pray and remember the late activist. A large portion of those in attendance were students.

Some said they believe he empowered young people with conservative beliefs, since he traveled to college campuses around the nation to share his message.
