Ihad an epiphany while watching the Steelers play the Seahawks that maybe the Steelers just aren’t very good.

I know “it is early.” Mike Tomlin “will rally the troops.” It is “just one game,” and all the other stuff that we get told on a regular basis after an early-season loss. And in general, I agree with it. I don’t think that we should overreact to the results of one or two games, especially this early in the season.

But this season might be different for a few reasons, and what we saw Sunday — and to a lesser extent last Sunday against the Jets — may not be fiction. We may want to ignore some unpleasant plays, but I don’t know that we want to continue to ignore some unpleasant truths.
