BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) – Two police officers were attacked while patrolling a Brooklyn subway station late Tuesday night, according to the NYPD.
Police said it happened on the platform of the F and G trains at the 4th Avenue-9th Street station around 11:40 p.m. A “disorderly” man who was bothering other straphangers was asked to step off a subway train by the officers, according to authorities.
Police said the man allegedly fought back, kicking one of the officers in the knee. The officer was taken to a local hospital, where he’s expected to recover, according to authorities.
Police said the suspect was possibly intoxicated at the time of the attack. He is expected to face charges of disorderly conduct and assaulting a police officer, according to authorities.
