Indianapolis must use eminent domain to save urban forests

Indianapolis is losing around 50 acres of urban forest annually to development. Most are privately owned, but even those that are publicly owned, like the Eagle Creek Forest, have been eaten away by commercial developers .

This is a problem, because the Eagle Creek Forest alone will provide $2.8 million worth of public benefits over the next 40 years.
