COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - As of earlier this morning, Tropical Depression Seven has formed in the Central Atlantic, with sustained winds of 35 MPH. It’ll continue to strengthen through the end of this week, with the current forecast expecting a Category 1 Hurricane by Sunday. As soon as tonight or tomorrow morning, this will become ‘Gabrielle’.
The other disturbance we’re watching is slowly moving away from the African coastline. For the next few days, no development is expected, but we’ll watch it closely as it moves over the open waters of the Atlantic this weekend.
